Marine Air Conditioning Installation Guide
Technical guidance for selecting and installing Blue Marine SC Series self-contained marine air conditioning systems.
01 / INSTALLATION GUIDE
Typical System Installation
A typical SC Series installation includes a seawater cooling circuit, cabin air distribution, electrical connections and independent condensate drainage.

Airflow & Ducting Requirements
Maintain unrestricted return airflow and correctly sized, insulated supply ducting. Avoid sharp bends and observe the maximum total duct length of 4 m.
| Model | Airflow | Duct diameter | Seawater flow |
|---|---|---|---|
| BM08SC | 500 m³/h | 100 mm | 600 L/h |
| BM12SC | 600 m³/h | 125 mm | 900 L/h |
| BM16SC | 730 m³/h | 150 mm | 1250 L/h |
| BM24SC | 1200 m³/h | 200 mm | 1800 L/h |
| BM30SC | 1350 m³/h | 200 mm | 2200 L/h |
04 / INSTALLATION GUIDE
Seawater Pump Selection
Select the seawater pump for the required flow at the actual working head, allowing for pipework, fittings, strainer and condenser resistance.
05 / INSTALLATION GUIDE
Shared Seawater Pump Systems
A common pump may supply multiple units through a correctly sized manifold. Use a compatible relay module to isolate each unit's pump demand signal.
06 / INSTALLATION GUIDE
Installation & Commissioning
Provide secure mounting, access for maintenance, effective condensate drainage and suitable electrical protection. A qualified marine HVAC engineer should commission the installation.
